Free and Simple Ways to Reduce Stress

We all have stress in our lives, some of us more than others.

If you are finding it hard to make ends meet financially, you’re likely “some of us”.

While getting a relaxing massage at a fancy spa, or lounging on the beach at an island resort will certainly make you forget all of your worries, few of us are able to take advantage of these stress reducing luxuries.

The following are a few simple ways to reduce stress, without spending a dime.

Listen to Music

Music is a great way to de-stress and relax.  Listen to the music that makes you calm.  If you’re not sure just what type of music makes you relax, listen to different types until you find the one that works for you.

Get Distracted

Do something to get your mind off what is stressing you out… if even for a little while.  A distraction will go a long way to alleviating your anxiety.  Watch an old movie, read a book, look at the clouds or just daydream.

Take a Nap

If you get too stressed out, just take a nap!  That’s not to say that if you are stressed out at work, you should just put your head down and go to sleep… especially if you are a truck driver, but when you get home, or when you are able, catch a few ZZZZZs!

Get a Hug

If your stress is getting to be too much to bear, a hug could be just what the doctor ordered.  Again, use your own discretion at work!
